Violina Barzakova Davison was born in Rousse, Bulgaria, and educated at Rousse School of Music and the National Conservatory of Music, Sofia. She won first prize in the Bulgarian state music competition in 1976, and went on to perform master classes with Maestro Andre Gertler, professor of Music at the Royal School of Music in Brussels.

Violina played as Concertmeister with the Sofia Chamber Orchestra between 1984 and 1986, and has performed extensively as a solo recitalist in Bulgaria and Germany. She now resides in the United Kingdom, and having performed with many of the leading orchestras, is now in demand as a teacher and soloist with many performances in London and the SouthEast, including a recent live performance on Classic FM.

Violina has also been a coach and violin specialist teacher with the Enfielt Arts Support Teaching Service since 1991.
